Massage is often used in the treatment of arthritic conditions to ease muscle tightness prior to joint mobilisation. However, massage alone can be extremely helpful when training for marathons to prevent injuries. Indeed, professional athletes will have a massage every other day for its benefits.

We often will do, at the patient’s request, a deep soft tissue massage, just for the relief of stress and tension, that if left, will go on to cause more serious muscle problems.
